Beijo gay: comunicação e política na Bienal do Livro de 2019

Abstract

This paper intends to analyze the representativity of certain social groups, especially in LGBTQI+ communities, through the pathway of consumption of literature and audiovisual and its consequences. We try to analyze how the attempt to censor the comic book Avengers – the children cruzade (HEINBERG, A e CHEUNG, J, 2016) in a literary fair motivated by the illustration of a gay kiss became a kind of a reverse publicity, from the narratives created by both the censors and their opponents. To support our analysis, we operate methodologically with Foucault’s work (1977; 2001) and authors that cultivate a historic and anthropological perspective to interpret consumption as well as the body and emotions, such as Maffesoli (1992; 2004) and Siqueira (2015).
